THE DECK

We Brough It With Us-Hamdullila!
These are the parts laying all about, obviously.
The young people are my Husbands nephew and son and respective girlfriends.
This made such a BIG difference in the house.

MOVING DAY11

Moving Day!

What a mess, lol. Well it doesn't look like much but it is really beautiful.

Ten acres in the middle of nowhere is a wonderful thing.
Rody thinks so too. He acts like a puppy even though we are getting a little silver.
The house in the bacground is the nearest neighbor and they were friendly a few years back when we bought the place, but haven't said word one since we arrived. They probably feel like we have invaded. I would too, I guess. Word is they tried to buy the propery b4 we did. I am sorry about that, but very happy for ourselves. (insert big grin here)

I've got some of my Florida plants at the window for light and they will probably winter in the house so I don't loose them. We have arrived at the begining of winter. I really missed Fall, living in Fl. The colors are as vivid as I remembered them being.

Brooklyn Tweed's new Book!!!

I'm honored to say that I will be a proud owner of of the !st book this young man has published. You can see what I mean by clicking the blogger link on my page. It will take you to a wonderland of creative genius.

I have never been dedicated to a specific artist before, but everything this young man creates is just wonderful! I am in awe almost every time he posts something new. I am 47, soon to be 48. I just started knitting in 06, just before my father died in March. I taught myself with library time and a simple DVD.
I am as enamored with all things wool myself, as he is, but I hope one day to attain this young man's level of talent only after many years of serious study. By study, I mean, actually doing the knitting, not his years of study to get a degree in his craft.

I'm so happy he's a young man, this means that I'll probably die before he is 9/10's of the way through with his career. This translates to my never (as long as I live and am capable of doing so) running out of beautiful new challenges to tackle.

My favorite Author wass Ann McCaffrey and she started publishing in the year I was born (1961). I did not discover her until I was Active Duty and in the Air Force, in my early 20's. Now she has turned the reins over to her son, Donald, I believe. He is quite good and his style is very similar to his Mother's so it was an easy transition, but there was a moment of panic when I realized she was going to "retire".

When I find a something/one that is so good, I am dedicated and stick with it. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

Now you can see why I am so glad that Jared is a young man. Probably my son's age or a little younger. (27 or so)

I look forward to many years of bliss in his talented mind's work.

Little Blessings

I was
blessed to see these on Chenoah's facebook page. I'm so happy that she is vigilant with the camera, these are just so beautiful. There is a whole sequence of them that I hope to add to my photos on facebook. They are just great of Jacques, my son, in case you don't know who these people are. Also my grandson Jude and Chenoah, my son's other half. Really great pics that they both took, it looks like. LOL

Time with TJ

After the weekend with Marcus I had TJ, that would be Tiylor Jacob, on Tuesday. He wasn't in a great mood that night so I waited till Friday evening and got one of the little doll baby.

He didn't let me get the really good one of the big smile, but there will be other days, Inshallah.

He grows so fast it makes me VERY aware of time passing. Allah, let me live a while longer to see them all make it through college, at the least, please. :-D
